The EMBRACE project focuses on producing and testing electric bicycles and scooters made from recycled materials to promote sustainable urban mobility. The project aims to demonstrate the feasibility of integrating circular economy practices into the electric vehicle industry.
The following activities are carried-out:
Conduct material analysis and mechanical testing of recycled composites to ensure performance and durability
Design and manufacture prototypes of two vehicle types (Leonardo scooter and Woody POP bike) using recovered materials
Pilot testing in Rome and Brussels to gather user feedback and performance data in urban environments
Perform market analysis and user segmentation to identify the most promising adoption targets
Develop a go-to-market strategy and plan for large-scale production
