Through the MAIRP implementation, the Zanzibar Urban Services Project aims at regenerating the main streets in the Michenzani city center area, including street and sidewalk improvements, infrastructure and service upgrading, as well as public space improvements. The programme implementation requires transport planning and traffic simulation modelling to assess the impact on traffic conditions as well as evaluate eventual additional interventions or solutions enabling adequate mobility for all road users. In particular, such activity includes: data preparation and road network graph definition, micro-simulation of traffic and mobility, analysis of simulations, definition of mitigation measures.
