ELVITEN

Framework

ELVITEN demonstrates how light electric vehicles (EL-V) can be used in urban areas and integrated into the existing transport network.

The project

ELVITEN is present in six European cities. The demonstration cities differ in specific characteristics (existing EL-V fleets, infrastructure, mobility problems, policies) but involve all existing EL-V infrastructure fleets. ELVITEN will achieve a mental shift between the users of these cities by providing them with a better EL-V experience.
A demonstration of electric bike sharing in the city of Rome is planned as part of the project. In particular, 60 electric bikes (type Le1A) will be used and their travel and perceived utility will be monitored.

Our role

UNeed.IT is in charge of the supervision of the demonstration in Rome, providing support for its implementation, for the maintenance of the electric bikes and for the impact analysis.
